Fantastic experience celebrating my husband’s and son’s birthdays! Our family room had a lovely view, and we were surprised with complimentary bubbly and a delicious dessert. Staff attention made our stay special, despite some dated decor. The hotel is lively and central, but noise could be an issue for light sleepers.

The room had a great view of the town square. Clean, spacious, and the decor was charming. Breakfast options were good, plenty of choices and tasted fresh. Though, we experienced a delay in dinner service one night due to a wedding, which was a bit frustrating. The noise from outside was bothersome, especially at night, which made it hard to sleep. Additionally, the staff could have been a bit more attentive during peak times. The hotel is in a prime location, easy to explore the town and nearby sites. Parking was affordable, a nice perk. Overall, the stay had highlights, but the noise and service issues need addressing.

I enjoyed my time exploring the town. The bartender helped me with maps and recommendations. The food and drinks were satisfying, and I felt welcomed. It made my stay better as a solo traveler from New York.

abbey hotel donegal is well situated on the main street. our triple room was spacious with a lovely view of the diamond. the beds were very comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. the dinner in the bar was delicious, and breakfast had a great selection.

The outdated fixtures and musty smells made it hard to enjoy my stay!!! Plus, the inconsistent WiFi and parking situation need serious attention to prevent future frustrations.

I stayed here for a night and loved how everything was just a few steps away, like the charming market house restaurant for delicious meals and the scenic donegal bay waterbus offering lovely views of the water. this place is a great spot for anyone who enjoys strolling around city centers and visiting key landmarks.

Our family enjoyed a cozy night with beautiful views of the river from our room. Dinner exceeded expectations, particularly the lamb dish! For a fun outing, stroll to the nearby public park. Just be prepared for limited parking options.
